About us

The Balyun Sustainable Development Foundation

The Balyun Sustainable Development Foundation (TBSDF) is a non-governmental organization established in 2024, and registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission in Nigeria. We are striving to close the gap between Africaā€™s development aspirations and its human capital deficits. Through adequate investment in the knowledge, skills and health of Africans, we believe that a productive workforce will emerge which will both be enablers as well as markers of sustainable development.

Africa has seen varied progress across its diverse regions, yet persistent challenges in poverty, healthcare, and education underscore the need for innovative and localized solutions. The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development recognises the interrelated nature of the goals, as progress on one goal often impacts one or more other goals. The Balyun Sustainable Development Foundation (TBSDF) positions itself uniquely by focusing on human capital development, recognizing that empowered individuals are crucial for inclusive and sustainable development. Our interventions are designed to complement and amplify existing efforts, aligning closely with SDGs 1 (No Poverty), 3 (Good Health and Well-being), 4 (Quality Education), 5 (Gender Equality), 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) and 10 (Reduced Inequalities).

We are dedicated to addressing critical gaps in sustainable development across Africa. Our mission focuses on leveraging human capital development to foster economic growth, social justice, and environmental sustainability. By targeting education, health, and livelihood support, we aim to empower marginalized communities, promote resilience, and contribute to the achievement of Sustainable Development.

To be a catalyst for transformative and inclusive sustainable development across Africa, driving progress through empowered communities and equitable access to resources.
